Bank accounts

Manage your connected bank accounts and monitor sync status.

2 min read

The bank accounts page is your central hub for managing all connected financial accounts. From here you can connect new banks, monitor sync status, and troubleshoot connection issues.

Accessing bank accounts

Navigate to Data Sources > Bank Accounts in the sidebar.

What you see

Each connected account displays:

  • Account name — The display name (editable).
  • Account number — The IBAN or account identifier.
  • Bank/Institution — Which bank the account belongs to.
  • Currency — The account's currency.
  • Connection status — Whether the connection is active and syncing.
  • Last sync — When transactions were last imported.

Connecting a new bank account

  1. Click Connect bank account.
  2. Select your bank connection provider (Exthand is the default).
  3. Complete the authorization flow with your bank.
  4. Choose which accounts to connect.
  5. Transactions will start syncing within minutes.

Sync status and logs

Each bank account has a sync audit log showing:

  • When each sync occurred.
  • How many transactions were imported.
  • Any errors or warnings during the sync.

Use this to diagnose issues like missing transactions or connection problems.

Editing account details

Click an account to modify its display name or other metadata. The account number and bank details cannot be changed — these come from the bank connection.

Disconnecting an account

You can disconnect a bank account at any time. This stops future syncing but does not delete any transactions that have already been imported. Your existing data remains intact.

Re-authorization

Bank connections in Europe typically expire after 90 days due to PSD2 regulations. When this happens:

  1. You will see a warning on the bank account page.
  2. Click through the re-authorization flow.
  3. Log in with your bank again.
  4. Syncing resumes automatically.
